New President Appointed at Albertus Magnus College
Dr. Marc M. Camille has been appointed as the 14th president of Albertus Magnus College. Dr. Camille was elected unanimously by the Board of Trustees. He currently serves at Loyola University as vice president for enrollment management and communications.
Auburn Names President
Current Iowa State University President, Dr. Steven Leath, is leaving to become the new president of Auburn University. Dr. Leath has been at Iowa State for five years, and will begin at Auburn starting July 15th. He will replace Dr. Jay Gogue, who announced his retirement in September.
Bellevue College Hires Veteran as President
Bellevue College has announced that Dr. Jerry Weber, current president of College of Lake County, will become the next president at Bellevue College. Dr. Weber has been president of College of Lake County for the past six years. He will take over at Bellevue this summer.
New President Announced at College of Southern Maryland
Dr. Maureen Murphy has been selected as the fifth president at the College of Southern Maryland. Murphy is currently president of Brookdale Community College in New Jersey. Dr. Murphy will begin July 1st, and replaces Dr. Brad Gottfried. Dr. Gottfried will retire in late June.
DeSales Chooses Alumni as Next President
Trustees at DeSales University have named alumnus, Rev. James Greenfield, as the next president of the school. Rev. Greenfield graduated from DeSales in 1984. He will replace Reverend Bernard O’Connor in January of next year. O’Connor announced he will retire in May. Until then, May. Gerard J. Joyce, current VP of student life at DeSales, will serve as interim president.
Fisk University Names Next President
Fisk University has announced that Dr. Kevin Rome, current president of Lincoln University of Missouri, will become the schools next president. Dr. Rome will replace Frank Sims as president on July 1st. Sims has served as interim president since 2015.
New President at Glenville State
Glenville State College has selected Dr. Tracy L. Pellett to become the school’s 24th president. Dr. Pellett is currently the provost and VP for academic affairs at the College of Coastal Georgia. She will replace Dr. Peter Barr as president. Dr. Barr has announced his retirement at the end of this academic year.
Halifax Community College Appoints New President
Dr. Michael Elam has been approved by the state board to become the next president of Halifax CC. Elam will succeed Dr. Ervin Griffin Sr., who retired in February.
New President Named at Lake Michigan College
Dr. Trevor Kubatzke has been voted in by the Lake Michigan Board of Trustees to become the school’s next president. Kubatzke will begin his term in April, succeeding President Robert P. Harrison. Harrison will retire after serving the school for 18 years.
Long Beach City College Chooses New President
Dr. Reagan Romali has been voted in to become the next president of Long Beach City College. Romali currently serves as president of City Colleges of Chicago – Harry S Truman. She will succeed Dr. Eloy Ortiz Oakley, who left the school in December.
Morehead State Introduces Next President
Dr. Joseph Morgan has been announced as the next president of Morehead State University. Morgan will become the school’s 14th president on July 1st. Morgan said, “My family and I are honored and excited to become part of the Morehead State family. It is a tremendous privilege to be selected to lead MSU.”
New President Named at Neumann University
Neumann University has named Dr. Chris E. Domes as its next president. Domes is currently the president of Silver Lake College in Wisconsin. He will take over for Rosalie M. Mirenda on July 1st. Mirenda announced her retirement last august after over 20 years of service.
NYIT Announces New President
New York Institute of Technology has named interim chancellor of the University of Missouri-Columbia, Dr. Henry Foley, as its new president. Dr. Foley will replace interim president, Dr. Rahmat Shoureshi, as president on June 1st.
Board Approves New President at Rochester College
The Board at Rochester College has approved the selection of Dr. Brian Stogner as the school’s next president. Stogner is the former interim president of the school and will begin immediately. Dr. Stogner said, “I am deeply humbled and honored to accept this position.”
Interim President Appointed at Seton Hall
Dr. Mary Meehan has been unanimously selected as Seton Hall’s new interim president. Meehan is the first woman president of the school. She will take over for current President, A. Gabriel Esteban, who announced he is leaving for Depaul. Dr. Meehan will begin April 11th.
Southern Nazarene University Welcomes Next Leader
Dr. J. Keith Newman was recently elected by SNU’s Board to become the next president of Southern Nazarene University. Newman is currently the chancellor of Indiana Wesleyan University. He will begin on August 1st, following the retirement of Dr. Loren Gresham. Gresham has been president since 1989.
Southwestern College Appoints New President
Dr. Kindred Murillo has been appointed by the Southwestern Community College District Governing Board as the new President of Southwestern College. Murillo has served the previous five years as the president of Lake Tahoe Community College District. She began her post at Southwestern in late January.
Former President of Scranton to Return
Reverend Scot Pilarz will return to the University of Scranton in June after serving at the University of Marquette. Pilarz was previously Scranton’s president from 2003 to 2011. Current President, Rev. Kevin Quinn, will be stepping down at the end of the academic year.
UMass Dartmouth Chooses New Chancellor
Current president at Becker College in Worcester, Dr. Robert Johnson, has been approved as the next chancellor at UMass Dartmouth. Dr. Johnson will replace interim chancellor, Randolph Helm, on July 1st.
Charleston Southern President to Retire
Dr. Jairy C. Hunter will step down as president after over 30 years at Charleston Southern University. Hunter plans to move to role of president emeritus on May 31, 2018. Dr. Hunter Joined Charleston Southern in 1984 as the school’s second president.
