Appointments
Saint Leo University Chooses 11th President
St. Leo has selected Dr. Edward Dadez as its next president. He replaces President Jeffrey who has resigned.
Ursinus College Names New President
Robyn E. Hannigan is appointed Ursinus’s 19th president. She previously served as provost at Clarkson University.

Interim President Chosen at North Carolina Community Colleges
North Carolina CC has named William S. Carver as interim president. He will replace Thomas Stith, III who resigns this month.
University of Michigan Names 15th President
Santa J. Ono has been selected as University of Michigan’s next president. Ono comes from the University of British Columbia in Canada where he currently serves as president/vice chancellor.
Interim President Appointed at Sonoma State University
Sonoma State U. has appointed Dr. Ming-Tung Lee as interim president. He succeeds resigning president Dr. Judy K. Sakaki.
Emmanuel College Names Next President
Emmanuel College in Boston, MA has named Dr. Mary K. Boyd as its next president. Dr. Boyd succeeds Sister Eisner who has served as president there since 1979.
New President Selected at Thomas Jefferson University
Dr. Mark L. Tykocinski is the new president at Thomas Jefferson. Tykocinski previously served as TJU’s provost and EVP.
West Virginia University at Parkersburg Selects Interim President
WVU Parkersburg has named Dr. Torie Jackson interim president. She succeeds resigning president Dr. Chris Gilmer.
Interim President at Robert Morris University Appointed Permanently
Robert Morris U. appointed Dr. Michelle L. Patrick president. She has been serving as interim president since April.
Interim President Appointed at Fullerton College
Fullerton College named Dr. Monte E. Perez interim president. He recently retired from Los Angeles Mission College after serving there as president for 10 years.
Indiana Wesleyan University Names 10th President
Dr. Jonathan Kulaga will be Indiana Wesleyan’s 10th president. He is currently serving as president of Ohio Christian University.
Bishop State Community College Names Next President
Bishop State CC has named Olivier Charles its next president. Charles takes over from current president Dr. Reggie Sykes who has retired.
Interim Appointed Permanent President of Southern Utah University
Mindy Benson will be Southern Utah University’s 17th president. She has served as Southern Utah’s interim president since July 2021.
Laredo College Names New President
Laredo College has named Dr. Minita Ramirez as its new president. She previously served as VP for student success at Texas A&M International University.
19th President Appointed at Dartmouth College
Sian Leah Beilock has been appointed Dartmouth’s 19th president. She currently serves as president of Barnard College.
Maria College Announces Next President
Maria College has chosen Dr. Lynn Ortale as its next president. Ortale previously served as VP for student life at Chestnut Hill College.
Northampton Community College Names 5th President
NCC has named Dr. David A. Ruth as its next president. He replaces Dr. Mark Erickson, who retired in June.
Central Community College-Hastings Selects its Next President
Christopher Waddle has been appointed Central CC-Hastings’ new president. He previously served as VP of Human Resources there.
Interim President Promoted at Leech Lake Tribal College
Leech Lake Tribal College has promoted Interim President Helen Zaikina-Montgomery to the position permanently. Montgomery has served as interim since May 2021.
Dean College has Selected its 14th President
Dean College appointed Kenneth Elmore its 14th president. Elmore previously served as an administrator at Boston University.
New Super/President Chosen at San Joaquin Delta College
Dr. Lisa Aguilera Lawrenson is San Joaquin Delta’s new superintendent/president. She has been serving as acting super/president since September 2021.
Enterprise State Community College Appoints New President
Enterprise State CC has chosen Daniel Long as president. He replaces retired President Matt Rodgers.
University of Northwestern-St. Paul has Selected its 9th President
Dr. Corbin Hoornbeek will be the next president of the University of Northwestern-St. Paul. He succeeds Dr. Alan Cureton who has led the institution for the last 20 years.
Interim Becomes 18th President at Emporia State University
Emporia State U. has named Ken Hush the 18th president. Hush has been serving as Emporia’s interim president.
Muskegon Community College Appoints Next President
Dr. John Selmon will be Muskegon CC’s next president. He replaces retiring President Dr. Dale Nesbary.
Former President of Hobart and William Smith Colleges Returns
Hobart and William Smith Colleges has named President Emeritus Mark D. Gearan its new president. Gearan previously served as Hobart and Smith’s president from 1999 to 2017.
Edison State Community College Hires Next President
Christopher D. Spradlin has been chosen as Edison State CC’s next president. He succeeds President Dr. Doreen Larson who will retire in 2023.
New Chancellor Appointed at Eastern Iowa Community College District
EICCD has appointed Dr. Sonya Williams its new chancellor. Williams currently serves there as VP of education and CAO.
William Carey University Announces Selection of its 10th President
Dr. Ben Burnett was selected as William Carey’s next president. He replaces Dr. Tommy King who retired recently.
Ivy Tech CC South Bend-Elkhart Appoints New President
Ivy Tech CC South Bend-Elkhart appointed Dr. Tia Robinson-Cooper president. She is the former president of Contra Costa College.
New President Selected at North Idaho College
Dr. Nick Swayne will be North Idaho’s next president. He was previously executive director of 4-Virginia.
Saint Louis CC at Wildwood Names Next President
STLCC has chosen Dr. Stephen W. White as president and chief academic officer of its Wildwood campus. He previously served as STLCC Florissant Valley’s dean of science for 9 years.
Indiana University Kokomo Appoints New Chancellor
Dr. Mark Canada has been appointed chancellor of IU Kokomo. He succeeds Dr. Susan Sciame-Giesecke who stepped down to become IU’s VP for regional campuses and online education.
New President Selected at Cuyahoga CC (Tri-C) Westshore
Tri-C Westshore has selected Dr. Scott Latiolais as its next president. Latiolais currently serves as VP of student success at Clover Park Technical College.
University of North Florida Confirms 7th President
UNF has confirmed Dr. Moez Limayem as its 7th president. He will take over from retired president Dr. David M. Szymanski.
Resignations
The President of CCC Kennedy-King College Was Terminated in July
Kennedy-King College has removed Dr. Gregory Thomas from office. Katonja Webb Walker will serve as interim president.
President of New Jersey City University Steps Down
Dr. Sue Henderson resigned from New Jersey City College after 10 years as president. NJCU’s VP and chief strategy officer, Jason Kroll, will serve as acting president.
President-Elect of Northwestern University Will Not Be Able to Serve
Due to medical conditions, President-elect Rebecca M. Blank will not become Northwestern University’s next president. Current President Morton Schapiro will stay on until a new leader is selected.
Retirements
President of Youngstown State University to Retire
James Tressel, president of Youngstown State U., retires next February. An interim president has not been chosen at this time.
York College of Pennsylvania President Announces Retirement
Dr. Pamela Gunter-Smith will retire from York College of PA in June 2023. A search for her successor will begin immediately.
President of Stockton University to Retire in 2023
Stockton U. president Dr. Harvey Kesselman will retire next year. The university will start a presidential search in the next few months.
University of the District of Columbia President Announces Retirement
UDC President Ronald Mason, Jr. will retire at the end of the next academic year. He will have been president there for 8 years.
